For the gravel remote, initial concepts included an ergonomically optimized “dual control” style lever. The final version is much simpler, but still retains some features from these original sketches, such as a low-profile and lightweight handlebar clamp.

The flatbar remote was more of a form exercise, but ended up establishing the “Zen garden” pattern that is seen throughout the Teravail Visual Brand Language.
