PEAX Torrid Hot Tent Stove
I worked on initial concept development and preliminary Solidworks models of the PEAX Torrid Hot Tent Stove. I was briefed by the client with the objective of creating a titanium stove that is quicker and easier to setup than the competition while still maintaining competitive weight, price, and performance.
Through the use of a novel attachment method for the legs that is easier to handle and provides better structure and stability, we created a new benchmark for user experience in the category.
“I own the torrid and a seek XL. Assembly is amazing compared to the Seek. No shoving rod stock legs thru the body, the chimney adapter slots into the body cleanly instead of shoving crimped pipe into a hole and the hinged door alone is infinitely better than sliding the silly flat door side to side on a seek stove. It also packs up a lot cleaner than the seek….…If I find that the torrid is enough to heat the courthouse I'm selling my seek XL.”
